The third number, 12 in, is the pocket depth. Measure the mattress width, length and depth (add the topper if you use one) before ordering. A pocket that is too shallow slips off the corners and wears faster in the laundry; for shallower or deeper mattresses, compare every pocket depth in the hotel sheet size chart.
